Trip Itinerary:
Day 1: Lhasa: Arrival Lhasa , 3650m
Lhasa welcomes you today and our Tibetian guide and your driver will pick you up from the railway station or airport and transport you to your comfort hotel.
Day 2: Lhasa:Sightseeing Barkhor Circuit and the Jokhang Temple 3650m
Lhasa is Tibet's holiest city, with pilgrims arriving daily from all across the Tibetan Plateau to pay their respects at one of the city's countless sanctuaries. You'll spend two days in the city researching it. On the first day, you will go to Jokhang Temple, Tibet's most famous sanctuary. You may see harsh pioneers prostrating in front of the Jowo Buddha monument within the religious community from the housetop. After a while, you'll study the endless maze of business sectors and cafés that line the old Barkhor circle. You will come into contact with Tibetan pilgrims who are prostrating their way around the Tibetan Quarter while exploring the Barkhor circuit. And Drepung Monastery: Drepung was once the world’s largest and is still one of Tibet’s three most important monasteries.
Day 3:Lhasa :Potala Palace and Sera Monastery, 3650m
The Potala Palace, Tibet's most recognizable structure, will be visited in the morning. The Potala Palace, which was built in 637, is 13 stories tall and has over 1000 rooms. In the afternoon, you will visit Sera's great monastery, where monk debates are held every day. There is a pilgrimage circuit around the monastery that takes about an hour to complete if you are interested in hiking.
Day 4:Lhasa to Yamdrok Lake then Gyantse to Shigatse,3800m
From Lhasa, you will travel to Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet's holiest and most beautiful lakes. Yamdrok Lake is located at 4450m and is a stunning turquoise color. Mt. Nojin Kangtsang, at 7191m, can be seen in the distance. After visiting the lake, you will drive to Gyantse, a medium-sized town. Gyantse (3950m) is famous for its massive hilltop military fort and the Pelkor Chode Monastery, which houses Tibet's tallest Tibetan Buddhist stupa. You will leave Gyantse and travel to Shigatse, Tibet's second-largest city. Visit The Tashilhunpo Monastery is located in Shigatse, at an elevation of 3840 meters. You can hike the ancient pilgrim circuit with hundreds of Tibetan worshippers in addition to exploring the monastery.
Day 5:Shigatse and Namtso Lake,4718m
Drive through the friendship highway, turning from Tadruka Village, crossing a bridge, and driving through a beautiful valley to the Shug la pass (5300m) and Yangpachen hot springs and Namtso Lake. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6:Namtso Lake to Lhasa,3650m
On this day, you'll watch the sunrise over the lake and spend a lot of time there. You can take a stroll around the lake to the monastery. Drive back to Damxung until Yangpachen, then south to Lhasa through Tashidor monastery. Trekking takes about 4-5 hours.
Day 7:Departure from Lhasa ,3650m
Today we officially complete the journey, our guide will drop you at Airport or Train Station.
