The Everest Mountain Flight offers a close-up view of Mount Everest, as well as other giants of the Himalayas. Starting from the far left, visitors first see Gosaithan, also called Shisha Pangma, towering at a majestic height of 8013 m. Next to it, to the right, appears Dorje Lakpa, a mountain that looks like a figure 8 lying down, covered with snow, and reaching a height of 6966 m. To the right of Dorje Lakpa is Phurbi-Ghyachu, which looms over the Kathmandu Valley. Choba-Bharnare, the smallest holy mountain of Nepal at 5933m, comes next, followed by Gauri Shanker, 7134m, another holy mountain with a sharp and conspicuous appearance. It is believed that Lord Shiva and his consort Gauri protect this mountain, and as such, it has never been climbed. As the plane continues moving eastward over the Himalayas, passengers can see Melungtse, a plateau-like mountain stretching up to 7023m, and Chugimago, a virgin mountain waiting to be climbed at 6297m. Karyolung, a glowing white mountain of 6511m, appears intensely beautiful in the colors of the rising sun, and Cho-Oyu, the eighth highest mountain in the world at 8201m, is stunningly beautiful from the aircraft. Finally, the tallest mountain in the world, the magnificent Mount Everest or Sagarmatha, stands tall at 8848m, appearing even more awe-inspiring from the aircraft. Passengers will feel small and humbled as they take in the sight of this mighty mountain from above.
