Route of Mardi Himal Trekking
The highest point of the Mardi Himal trekking is Mardi Himal Base Camp. However, you will be able to see the entire Annapurna Mountain range from there. The best spot to get a virtual view of Machapuchhre is the low camp at 2,990 meters. The three popular mountains- Machapuchhre (6,993 m), Annapurna South (7,010 m) and Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441 m) are the main highlights of this Mardi Himal trekking.
The journey of Mardi Himal trekking begins from Pokhara. You will have to walk for a two and half hours . Furthermore, you have to continuously walk for 3-4 hrs per day. After that you can reach Mardi Himal Base Camp. The Mardi Himal Base Camp is at 4,500 meters. The high camp is a continuous day hike of 6-7 hrs from Low Camp at 2,990 meters. Probably on the fifth day, you will be able to step at Mardi Himal Base Camp.
While descending down Mardi himal, it will take same 6 or 7 hours to reach High Camp. There is no any issue for acclimatization. As you will get enough time to rest as well as walk is also normal. There is an alternate route for Mardi Himal trekking. It is the Siddhing route, then you can skip Australian Camp, Pitam Deurali and Forest Camp. After that you can directly reach Low Camp on the first day. And if you start early in the morning then you can reach High Camp as well on the same day.
